Back from hiatus

I am finally back on! To be honest, I didn't plan to leave for 2 months. I was only planning to take a break to study for my finals, but I ended up forgetting my username! A lot is happening at the moment and it's too complicated to explain. On a brighter note, today is my husband's 29th birthday! It is his 1st celebration with our twins, Jacqueline and Caitlyn. I am looking forward to our dinner date this Saturday at Wolfgang's in the city!  I cannot wait to devour some juicy steak! I have a ton of products I've been trying lately, but let's back track to the spring. I went to the mall a couple of weeks ago to check out Laura Mercier's spring collection and bought 2 lip products. I pick up the lipgloss in 'Camellia' and the new lip print in 'Nude Coral'! The lipgloss has a nice watery consistency with a sweet candy scent. The scent is a bit strong for me, but I could not pass up on this gloss! The name 'Camellia' is very special to me and I just had to have it in my collection. 'Camellia' is a sheer medium Barbie pink with no shimmer. It's not exactly a cream finish, but it can be opaque if you build it up. The lip print is something I've never seen before. I picked up the color 'Nude Coral' and it is how the name describes it to be. The lip print is very light in texture and gives a matte finish. When I first saw it, I didn't expect it to show up on my lips because it looked so sheer swatched on my hand. But when you apply it on your lips, it is a very nice coral. It doesn't look like you have anything on because it looks so natural! The best part about it is that it doesn't feel like anything on your lips! This lip print is definitely a good addition to my collection. I love my new lip products!

Face of the Day

[wrote this yesterday]

Today was like any other day, except for some reason, I felt more energized than usual! I cooked my normal meals, fed the babies, changed their diapers, and didn't want to nap. I wanted to do something, anything. So, I turned on the TV and started to watch 'A Baby Story', 'Make Room for Multiples', and 'My Crazy Obsession' on TLC while the girls slept on me. All of a sudden, I felt compelled to put on make up! I always want to look polished when I go out, but I am always too rushed to put together a "go to" look on the spot. Since I was in the mood to play with make up, I figured I would work on my "go to" look. This is what it looks like:

The colors I used are mostly brown, so if you don't have the following products, you can easily substitute them with browns that you have. I just happened to use my Urban Decay Naked Palette because it has a lot of neutrals and it's just really convenient to use.

Boxing Day

As a mother of newborn twins, it is difficult for me to go out to shop. To hold over my obsessive compulsive shopping habits, I have turned to online shopping! It is so bad for me because it's so convenient! Everything is at the reach of my fingertips and I get to shop at the comfort in my own home. My favorite online website to shop from is Hautelook.com. Hautelook sells numerous designer brands for a discounted price. A new sale starts everyday at 11am Eastern time. It can get pretty addicting checking what's on sale everyday. I recently ordered Lorac cosmetics from Hautelook for a fraction of the retail price! Here is what I got:

TANtalEYES Baked Eyeshadow Palette
Matte lipstick in Rich Burgundy
Lip pencil in Burgundy Red

Swatches:

 TANtalEYES Baked Eyeshadow Palatte

Left to Right: White shimmer, Golden bronze, Olive green, Garnet

Top to Bottom: Rich Burgundy Lipstick, Burgundy Red Lip Pencil

The first time I swatched this palette was almost one year ago from Ulta. The eyeshadows were so pigmented and smooth, but I didn't have the budget nor the need to buy it at the time. So when I saw this on Hautelook, I knew I had to get it. This palette is great for the summer because the shimmering gold and bronze color will bring out any eye color.

I am always on a hunt for a good red lipstick. A red lipstick that I can wear everyday where I won't look like I just took a bite from someone's neck. This burgundy lipstick and lip liner is toned down enough where I can pull off a sexy red lip without going overboard. Even though this is a great red shade on me, I would probably reach for this more often during the Fall.

This concludes my boxing day haul! Thank you for reading!

Hugs and kisses,

Cindy
