I'm starting a habit of spending less time on getting ready
I woke up late again! Usually, I would wake up around 9:15am to feed the girls at 9:30am, but Winter Break has officially messed up my schedule. It also didn't help that I had class today...I gave myself half an hour to cook breakfast for John and me, make the girls' milk, and put on my face. No matter how rushed I feel, I always try to make time to put on my face. I have finally gotten into a routine to put my face on in less than 10 minutes. On days where I am low on time (like today), I focus on the most important features; eyebrows and skin.
For those of you who were born with a full set of brows, lucky you! Some people (like me), have very fine hair that does not even look like it exists! Your eyebrows frame your face and bring everything together. When you have a set of nicely groomed eyebrows, it makes you look awake.
Skin focus is something I always aim to perfect. My skin have post-acne scars and visible pores. I recently found a foundation that helps even out my skin tone and minimize the appearance of my pores. Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Powder Foundation allows me to even out my skin tone in just 1 minute! It gives my skin a natural finish with a healthy glow. You will notice how much you get can away with when you have nice skin.
One of the best way to rock a red lip is on a casual day. I'm wearing Mac's Mattene Lipstick in Eden Rouge (limited edition)
I'm starting a habit of using a To-Do List
To-Do List for Yesterday
Vacuum and wet swiffer the apartment- Read Ch. 2 for Principles of Public Policy
- Find article for policy homework
Read Ch. 1 for Biomedical IssuesKeep cleaning apartment- Read Week 1 for Religion and Work
I've realized that I need to revise and shorten my To-Do List. While I would like to complete several sets of readings in one day, realistically, I cannot do that. I didn't take into account that I cannot do any reading/homework when the girls are awake. This puts me in a disadvantage when it comes to completing items on my To-Do List.
To-Do List for Today
- Read Ch. 2 for Principles of Public Policy
- Read Week 1 for Religion and Work
Laundry
Errands for Today
- Baby R'Us
- Barnes and Noble
- Michaels
- Shop Rite
I'm starting a habit of going to the gym
Last week, I signed up for my 1st membership at the Robert Wood Johnson Fitness & Wellness Center. Since I am paying for it, it motivates me to go to the gym every day. My goal is to run at least two miles a day on top of ab exercises. I am aiming to get back in shape and tone my body by June. Pregnancy has given me two beautiful girls, a kangaroo pouch, and flabby arms! Oh, the joy of pregnancy.
I'm starting a habit of minimizing coffee intake
I love coffee. I used to drink a cup of coffee a day and I'm trying to cut down to one cup of coffee a week. I am also trying to be strict with my water intake because caffeine dehydrates the body. I won't drink anything else but water on days where I drink coffee. This ensures that I get the adequate amount of water I need to keep my body hydrated.
I order Starbucks Ready Brew Coffee from Amazon. Making my own coffee cuts down on cost. I like to add Starbucks Vanilla Syrup (they sell them at every Starbucks) with a generous amount of International Delight creamer (yes, I like my cream). The taste? Just like a cup of coffee straight from Starbucks! (without the hassle of waiting in line) If you want your coffee on-the-go, then purchase a tumbler (hot or cold) from Starbucks! They have great deals on sale and their products are durable.
